When Edmund Ng’s wife died unexpectedly of an intracerebral hemorrhage at age forty-nine, he was plunged into the deep pain and loneliness of grief. Now, having come successfully through his own grief journey, Edmund draws on personal experience to reach out as a professional grief therapist to those who have lost loved ones. He eventually married Pauline, a woman who understood his grief because she lost her first husband in an automobile accident and had been a widow for fifteen years. In 2007, Edmund and Pauline founded Grace to Grieving Persons (GGP), a grief-support ministry, and they minister to bereaved people individually as well as in grief-support groups. Edmund also teaches on the subject of grief support in churches, seminaries and counseling seminars internationally
Edmund holds a Master’s degree in ministry. He has done postgraduate studies in professional counseling and applied psychology and is currently a doctoral candidate with the University of Wales. Edmund has filled church and parachurch leadership positions, including elder and pastor. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Association of Death Education and Counseling.
