Eleanor Clark was born on February 10, 1932 during the Great Depression and raised by devout Christian parents. A female pioneer in crossing economic, gender, educational, and corporate barriers, Eleanor worked as an executive for one of America's most prestigious ministries and later founded her own highly successful consulting firm.

After attending a Discipleship Bible study in 2003, Eleanor felt led by the Holy Spirit to write. While researching her family’s rich American history, Eleanor conceived the idea for two series, The Eleanor Series and The Young Men of Honor Series. Eleanor’s passion for history and the appreciation of her American and Christian heritage comes to life in her Young Men of Honor Series, which will be released in late spring of 2009. A distant relative to the founder of The Boy Scouts of America, and mother to a former boy scout, Eleanor’s first book in the series is titled, The Legacy of Lord Baden-Powell (WinePress, 2010) and commemorates 100 years of scouting in America.

Over the years Eleanor has participated in community, civic, and political services; she is a former Sunday school teacher, Pastor Parish committee chair, and has served on finance committees for a number of churches. Committed to involvement in her community, Eleanor has served on local, state, and national boards either as President, Treasurer, or on the finance committee. She has raised millions of dollars that benefit charities. For nearly seven years, Eleanor frequently appeared on Christian television; she is a national speaker, and has appeared at special events in most major cities of the United States throughout the years.

Shortly before embarking on her writing career, Eleanor’s husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Rather than succumb to her grief, she decided to obey God’s call to write. Eleanor is devoted to her five children, 17 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Eleanor and Lee Clark have been married for over 56 years and make their home in central Texas.
