Wanda Bauer

Continue Reading The choices we make impact not only our own lives, but the lives of our children and grandchildren. In her work as a rehabilitation specialist, counselor, and consultant, Wanda Bauer weaves in her own experiences to help her clients understand that a past riddled with abuse, alcoholism, and divorce affect who you are, but do not dictate who you will become.

Wanda graduated from Florida State University (Tallahassee) in 1998 with a master’s degree in human services and studies in counseling. She continued at FSU to complete her E.D.S. in mental health and special education. In 2000, Wanda began a Ph.D. program in rehabilitation services and counseling.

She is an adjunct instructor for the Career Center & Continuing Education Department and the Institute for Business Training and Community Education at Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida. Wanda also works as a rehabilitation specialist, counselor, and consultant at Bauer Rehabilitation Consulting Center in Cocoa.

From 2001-2005, Wanda served as an advocate for Brevard County D.O.T. at the Florida legislature. She has been a member of Kiwanis International since 2004.

In 1998, Wanda was appointed by Governor Lawton Chiles to serve four years on the Human Rights Advocacy committee. In 1996, she was awarded the Rotarian Foundation Ambassadorial scholarship, and she has also received several other awards.

Married, with three children and six grandchildren, Wanda and her husband live in Cocoa. She enjoys reading, attending plays, concerts, and movies, and spending time with friends and family.
